The ADHB Regional Oral and Maxillofacial Service (OMS) provide hospital-based, tertiary level, specialist services to 1.6 million people domiciled with the Metro Auckland and Northland District Health Boards of New Zealand.

The OMS service works closely with the Hospital and Specialist Dentistry (HSD) service and their sub-specialities including oral medicine, restorative prosthodontics, orthodontists and paediatric dentistry. 

Being responsible for the maxillofacial care of the region and as part of the multidisciplinary Head & Neck Surgery Service, the OMS Service covers the full range of Oral and Cranio-Maxillofacial surgery, with special emphasis on:

• Traumatology including secondary correction of posttraumatic sequelae
• Oncology and tumour surgery
• Plastic reconstructive surgery, microsurgery
• Orthognathic surgery
• TMJ surgery including TJR
• Dento-alveolar Surgery
