The Orthopaedic University Clinic at the Diakovere Annastift has a specialized department structure including sports and shoulder surgery, hip and knee surgery, spine surgery, children orthopaedic disorders and foot and ankle surgery.

The foot and ankle department consists of four specialized foot and ankle surgeons and four medical doctors in training, rotating during their medical training between the different departments. All foot and ankle disorders are treated daily in outpatient and inpatient procedures.

Besides the clinical work experience the department offers research and teaching facilities at a university level. On campus research facilities allow research in a biomechanical or biomaterial laboratory. Further more a modern gait analysis laboratory allows all analysis in this field.

The foot and ankle department offers a great opportunity to experience a wide variety in daily surgery of foot and ankle disorders as well as using great of research facilities on campus as well as together with other medical disciplines in an university environment.
