Facharztpraxis Hand und Fuss, led by Dr. med. Andreas Schirm, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, deformities, and injuries of the foot and ankle.

Our surgical scope covers both standard and complex procedures in foot surgery, performed on an outpatient and inpatient basis—carried out at Klinik Stephanshorn in St. Gallen, a modern center with interdisciplinary collaboration and high‑quality infrastructure. In addition, outpatient surgical care is provided at Operationszentrum Hirslanden OPERA St. Gallen. 

We place great emphasis on precise diagnostics, patient‑centered treatment planning, and function‑preserving, minimally invasive therapeutic approaches wherever feasible. Close collaboration with radiology, anesthesia, physical therapy, and orthotics/prosthetics enables comprehensive care and optimal clinical outcomes.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Schirm is actively engaged in medical education and peer exchange in the field of foot surgery. As an IBRA Training Center, we aim to offer interested colleagues the opportunity to gain in‑depth exposure to the full spectrum of operative foot surgery in a specialized environment; within this framework, we offer short fellowships of up to four weeks (IBRA Scholarship Program B).

• Complex deformities and post‑traumatic conditions
• Sports‑related foot injuries
