At the recent IBRA Board of Directors meeting, Dr. Adrian Spiegel from Basel, Switzerland, was officially appointed as the new IBRA Research Director — a newly created position that reflects IBRA’s growing emphasis on scientific advancement and innovation. With over 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and deep understanding of all aspects of clinical research, Dr. Spiegel is the perfect candidate to strengthen IBRA’s commitment to excellence in this field.

Dr. Spiegel will lead the coordination of research initiatives in collaboration with the IBRA Research & Education Committees. These efforts focus on advancing surgical outcomes in maxillofacial and limb surgery through internal fixation devices, as well as promoting bone biology research. IBRA actively fosters scientific exchange and champions the development of innovative research ideas within its global community.
