Medyarthros Surgery Center - Hand & Wrist Clinic

Medyarthros Surgery Center, one of the biggest sports medicine and orthopedics centers in Mexico, was established over 15 years ago in the western city of Guadalajara with the aim of preserving the health and movement of every patient seeking our care.

 

This year we inaugurated Medyarthros Surgery Center Hospital, the first private trauma, orthopedics, and sports medicine hospital in Mexico. It is an innovative medical center with high specialty medical technology distributed amongst 7 floors, and it is composed of 7 subspecialty clinics: Hand & Wrist, Elbow, Shoulder, Hip, Knee, Spine, and Pediatric Orthopedics.

 

The Hand & Wrist Clinic, led by Dr. Francisco García Lira, is proud to be one of the largest reference hand surgery centers in the country, treating many patients with traumatic and sports related injuries of the hand and wrist as well as chronic and degenerative conditions.

 

Our Hand Surgery Fellowship Program has successfully trained hand surgeons since 2007, it is endorsed by the University of Guadalajara, one of the largest universities in Mexico, and monthly receives medical professionals in training for clinical rotations during which they are expected to attend lectures, academical case discussions, article presentations, outpatient clinic consultations and surgeries where they scrub in as second assistants.

 

In our Clinic, we encourage our fellows and trainees to pursue their academic development and support them into making rotations and clinical stays at different hand surgery centers around the world. We believe in learning from different perspectives and applying all this knowledge into our everyday practice.
