The Mater Dei Health Network

The Mater Dei Health Network was created to meet the distinct needs of patients, with individualized care and comprehensive care being some of its guiding pillars. It is a network with an excellent architectural structure that works in a multidisciplinary and integrated way to better take care of those in need.

Each of the sectors, in each Unit, knows the importance of the role it plays so that we can deliver the best assistance. The care model of Rede Mater Dei is the patient at the center of care, regardless of age, generating value for him in all stages of treatment. With the mission “Commitment to Quality for Life”, Mater Dei exists for the patient.

Today it comprises three hospitals: Mater Dei Santo Agostinho, founded in 1980, with the expansion of Block II in 2000; the Mater Dei Contorno, opened in 2014; and Mater Dei Betim-Contagem, which started operations in 2019. In addition to these, it will soon have its fourth Unit, the first outside Minas Gerais: Mater Dei Salvador, which will open in the first quarter of 2022 With the IPO in the first quarter of 2021, other hospitals will be incorporated into the Mater Dei Network, such as the Porto Dias Hospital, a reference in healthcare in the Northern region of Brazil.

Orthopedics and Traumatology

Orthopedics and Traumatology is a medical specialty that treats diseases, injuries and deformities of bones, joints, ligaments and tendons. It also covers diseases that affect the locomotor system and the skeletal system, in addition to directly related injuries that are trauma to these structures.

The Mater Dei Health Network has specialized service 24 hours a day, in the three units, with qualified professionals who are updated on the latest techniques in specializations and training in Brazil and abroad. Upon arrival at the emergency room, the patient is seen by a doctor on duty and, if necessary, referred to a specialist. Rede Mater Dei offers assistance in all orthopedic subspecialties with physicians who have received specific training.
