About the Webinar
Calcaneal fractures are the most common tarsal fractures, 75% of them considered as intra-articular. Definitive treatment remains today debated. Regardless of the type of treatment chosen, conservative or surgical, up to 40% of complications are registered in the medium and long term, including: wound healing problems, sural nerve and peroneal tendons injuries, as well as subtalar osteoarthritis leading to disability in young patients of working age.

Agenda

  • Review of basic anatomy and mechanisms of injury.
  • Update of the diagnosis and treatment of calcaneal fractures.
  • Special emphasis on minimally invasive approaches, specifically the sinus tarsal approach, supporting the experience of our center.
