With profound sadness and deep sorrow, we have learned of the sudden and unexpected passing of our esteemed member, Professor Dr. med. Christina Stukenborg-Colsman. She left us far too soon in March 2025. Her passing leaves a tremendous void in the entire IBRA community and the field of orthopedic surgery worldwide.
Today, we pause to honor those who have made an extraordinary contribution to medical science through their final act of generosity. At our Annual Memorial Ceremony in Basel, we remember the individuals who chose to donate their bodies to medicine. Their final gift enables young surgeons to develop essential skills and experienced physicians to master new techniques, ultimately benefiting thousands of patients. We handle this responsibility with the utmost respect and dignity, ensuring that all donors receive appropriate cremation and final rest at the cemetery.
It is with deep regret that we announce the loss of Professor Satoru Ozeki who passed away recently. Professor Ozeki was an exceptional physician and scientist, a passionate teacher and an outstanding pillar of our international community.
