About the webinar
Treatment options for distal radius fractures (DRFs) have vastly improved over the years. Considering the wide range of treatment approaches and implant options available, how can we make optimal decisions? A biomechanical understanding of the mechanical forces underlying each fracture type is important to treat each injury specifically and ensure the optimal choice for stabilization.
Earlier this year, IBRA published a state-of-the-art fracture classification and treatment-oriented approach to address this challenge. By considering fractures based on key fragments and their location, the surgeon can easily classify the type of fracture present, and match this to a type of implant and recommended approach to surgical repair. This webinar will explore the biomechanical principles of DRFs, how this led to the new IBRA classification system and practical advice on implementing this treatment-oriented concept into your daily practice.
