The Cantonal Hospital Baselland (KSBL) is the central healthcare facility for the Basel region, providing extensive care to roughly 290,000 residents through its clinics, diagnostic services, and a wide array of consultations and therapies. Located in Liestal, Bruderholz, and the "Ambulatory Center" in Laufen, KSBL offers comprehensive outpatient and inpatient services in acute care and rehabilitation. Uniquely in Basel-Landschaft, the KSBL delivers 24/7 emergency and intensive care across three sites and has its own rescue service.
The focus of the fellowship will be on hand and wrist trauma including fractures of the distal forearm as well as posttraumatic and degenerative hand and wrist pathologies, arthroscopic procedures peripheral nerve surgery. A training in basics of medical 3D-printing can be offered (in-hospital 3D-print unit). Advanced experiences in orthopedic/trauma surgery and at least basic experiences in hand surgery are mandatory. It is a public department, offering a 24 hrs emergency Service with an orthopedic affiliation. Accomadation on the Hospital campus can be arranged.
